Uganda’s high-altitude Arabica coffees are known for their sweet, complex, and fruity flavours.
Bugisu (Bugishu): A premium, washed Arabica grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda. This coffee has a clean profile with citrus, berry, and chocolate notes, and a winey acidity.
Sipi Falls: An Arabica coffee named for the region around Mount Elgon where it is grown. Sipi Falls coffee is noted for its clean taste and distinct aroma.
Rwenzori Mountains (Mountains of the Moon): This region in western Uganda produces Arabica with distinct fruity and floral notes. Washed and natural processing methods are used here, with some of the best natural coffees offering a lush, dark berry jam flavor.
