Origin Info: Rwanda’s history is tainted with turmoil, however the country managed to emerge through this as one of the more stable economies in Africa and much of this is based around their coffee production. Today, coffee in Rwanda is produced by 400 000+ smallholder farms who grow on less than a 1/4 acre each. Grown in rich, volcanic soil between 1700-2000 meters above sealevel, all of the coffees are hand harvested and graded, fully washed through traditional African washing channels and then dried on raised African beds being carefully hand turned for a month during this drying process.
