Cafe & Roastery

When we opened our purpose-built roastery and café we wanted it to be unique. To that end we designed it to be a café where you can enjoy great food from our experienced chefs and coffee which we consider to be world-class. To enhance the coffee experience we designed our café to include our roaster which is very likely to be roasting the world’s finest beans as you enjoy your food and coffee. The coffee that you will enjoy might well be the very roast that you watched us roast just a few days before!

Our café also incorporates a showroom area where the latest coffee making equipment is on display, from domestic espresso machines to coffee tampers. Brass coffee hoppers also offer you the choice of a wide range of fantastic coffee blends and single origins to take home for coffee machine or plunger.

The café offers both food from our display cabinet, plus a menu with a wide choice of modern café fare for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We only use the freshest locally grown produce and free-range eggs guaranteeing you’ll taste the difference. We have a range of Gluten-Free options. You can sit either in the main café area or enjoy our large patio area overlooking the reserve. It’s cosy in winter and opens to the sun in the warmer months. We’re just a couple of minutes from the Albany Supa Centre and Massey University, and we have plenty of parking available. Altura Cafe is the flagship to showcase our coffee roasting while keeping us in touch with our clients needs and requirements.
