Commercial coffee growing began in Papua New Guinea around 1937, with seeds imported from the famous Jamaica Blue Mountain plantations.  These arabica beans are grown in the rich soil and ideal climate of the Western highland valleys.  When dark-roasted, our Sigri beans produce a sweet, subtle tasting coffee with a full body and an almost perfect balance.
