Altura Coffee Company Wins At Huhtamaki 2015-16 New Zealand Coffee Awards
Altura Coffee Company has won the Supreme Award at the Huhtamaki 2015-16 New Zealand Coffee Awards. The awards are a platform for New Zealand roasters to showcase their coffee blends and origins.
Since the inception of the event 12 years ago, Altura Coffee is the only New Zealand Roaster to have won the competition twice.
A panel of eight judges were responsible for blind sampling almost 300 coffee entries. In addition to the Supreme Award, Altura’s new blend Altitude was awarded the gold medal in the Flat White category, which received the highest individual score in the eight categories of the awards.
“Altura Coffee Company prides itself on sourcing the best green beans, roasting to perfection, and blending to produce the highest standard of coffee. We do this so we can supply unique quality coffee to our customers and ensure every cup delivers perfection,” says Altura Coffee Company’s Chris White.
Established in 1991, Altura Roastery can be found roasting daily in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore.
